Rev. Carolyn Roger

 Rev. Carolyn McWhirter Rogers is a native of Lancaster, South Carolina.  Rev. Rogers is active in the local Christian Education Department, New Members class, a member of the choir and the Director of Children for the Hartford District. She is an Ordained Deacon in the New England Conference. She has completed 4 years of Studies in the New England Conference Studies and is an ordained Elder.  Her works continue in the community with Les Treize  Business & Professional Women, Inc.;  who gives over $ 25,000 yearly scholarships to High School  college bound students.  She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae Chapter of New Haven, CT. The most important detail to remember about Rev. Rogers Is:  She loves the Lord and is a daughter of the King; Jesus Christ. Her favorite Scripture is : I can Do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

Rev. Ida Baker,Assistant Minister of Visitation

   

Rev. Ida Baker has served in the health care field as a registered nurse for over 22 years.  She  has a compassion for caring for others.   Her ministry is the art of serving God’s people in different ways, and helping people in a spiritual manor.  It is her prayer that the spotlight is not on her, as she help them find their true meaning and purpose in life and remind them that they are loved and important in God’s story is reaching out to the poor, the lowly in heart, and those who society has cast out.

 King Edward Rogers is the son of the late Robert and Ella Mae Rodgers of
Hartsville , South Carolina. He is married to Rev. Carolyn McWhirter-Rogers and they have two children.
King is an active member of the Men’s Chorus and the combined choir. He has served as a Trustee, Superintendent of Sunday School,  and presently, Adult Sunday School teacher, Exalter and Adult Director of the Hartford District .

But the most important thing about King is that he is a son of the King.  He is steadfast and unmovable in the Word of God.

Terri Williams, Local Preacher

Sister Terri Williams was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT and is a life-long member of Walters Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.  She is the mother of two children, Godmother of twelve, and grandmother of one.  Sister Williams loves the Lord with all her heart and it laminates throughout her work and walk with her family, job, and community (her friends are her family).  She is no stranger when it comes to evangelizing – she works with everyone young and seasoned (youth, at-risk youth, victims, survivors, lost, homeless, and fellow Christians).  Sister Williams join Walters’ Clergy in 2018, under the Leadership of Pastor Rev. Clayton.  She is active in the Missionary Department – where she is the Young Adults Missionary Society (YAMS) Coordinator, Vice President of the Stewardess Board, member of the following ministries Advocacy, Prayer and Outreach, she also attends Bible Study and Sunday School, and has participated with Liturgical Dance Team.  In 2017, Sister Williams retired from the State of Connection – Department of Correction (Parole Manager) and is currently working at The WorkPlace – where she is the Director of Reentry Programs.  She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, Eastern Stars – Oriental Chapter #8, NAACP, she is a Board Member of K&K Community Rebuilding, Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse (BYL), L.I.V.E Empowerment Group, and PT Partners.  Sister Williams is active in the community working with CT Against Violence (CAV), and My Brother’s Keeper.

There is one thing unique about Sister Williams is her favorite scripture is the day she was born. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthen me”
